Pembroke – Philip Allan Clement, 71, died peacefully September 11, 2007 at Calais Regional Hospital. Philip was born in Eastport, September 26, 1935, son of Howard and Elsie (Sutherland) Clement. He served in the U.S. Army for two years. Philip retired from Georgia Pacific in Baileyville where he worked as a Salvage Supervisor. After his retirement, he worked at Walmart. Philip enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, telling stories, doing a little gambling, fishing, turkey hunting and mowing his lawn. He was predeceased by his father Howard “Tubby” Clement; a daughter, Bonnie Clement Beal, and a brother Bobbie. Surviving are his wife Carolyn Cushing Clement; daughters, Karen and husband Jack McPhail, and Rhonda and husband Scott Brady; his mother, Elsie Clement of Pembroke; a brother, Howard and wife Theresa of Waterboro; grandchildren, Marc Beal and wife Judy, Christopher Clement, and Jessica and Chelsea Brady; great-grandchildren, Matthew, Bonnie and Christopher II; and several nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
