Calais – Philip Allen McAloney, 80, died Friday, July 28, 2006 at his home on Nash’s Lake. Philip was born in Machiasport, July 29, 1925, son of the late Harold and Sara (Quinn) McAloney. He retired in the 1980’s after being employed as a boiler maker for Bath Iron Works for over 35 years. Philip was a veteran of WWII, serving in the US Navy at Pearl Harbor. He married Patricia Rogers in Bath on January 11, 1975. Philip was a former member of the Lincoln County Rifle Club. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating and camping. Philip also enjoyed sports, proudly being an avid Red Sox, Patriots, and Celtics fan. He was predeceased by two brothers, Douglas and Gordon McAloney. Surviving are his loving wife of over 31 years, Patricia McAloney; a sister-in-law, Maureen Keithan and husband James of Dresden; three nephews, Kevin McAloney, Gordon McAloney Jr., and Kevin McCartney; two nieces, Karen and Judy McAloney; an aunt, Dot Owen of Brunswick; a cousin, Faye Ryan of Machias; and his faithful canine companion, Spike.
