Calais – Philip M. Trainor, 91, of 40 Palmer St. died October 27, 2006 at Calais Regional Hospital after a brief illness. He was born May 12, 1915, one of three sons and three daughters of Harry and Bertha (Cookson) Trainor. All have predeceased him. Philip married the former T. Elizabeth (Bette) Hayman of Milltown, N.B. on October 16, 1938. She predeceased him on October 23, 2001. Mr. Trainor was a 1933 graduate of Calais Academy and resided in Calais for many years before moving to Hampton Falls, N.H. where he became a regional manager for The Delaware Valley Propane Company with responsibility for the New Hampshire, Southern Maine, and northern Mass. areas. He retired in 1977 to Exeter, NH and returned to Calais after the death of his spouse. Philip is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Philip and Joyce (Noonan) Trainor of Constable, NY; two grandchildren, Kristen Welch of Geilenkirchen, Germany and Kelly Trainor of Summerville, SC; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Private services and burial will be at the convenience of the family. A cremation service by Mays Funeral Home, Calais.
