Philomene Ann Look, 43, passed away Monday, January 1, 2024, at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor. Philomene was born on March 19, 1980, daughter of John Dana and Barbara Newell.
Philomene graduated from Lee Academy, Class of 1998, and attended Washington County Community College where she studied business. She worked seasonal jobs, including fishing, lobstering, clamming, and making wreaths. Philomene was a gifted artist, making Native American baskets, bead work, jewelry, and dream catchers. She enjoyed the outdoors, camping, and watching movies, especially Disney animation. Above all else, Philomene was a proud mother and loved spending time with her children.
Philomene was predeceased by her father, John Dana; and her husband Anthony “Tony” LeBretton. Surviving are her mother, Barbara Newell and companion Joseph Mitchell Sr. of Pleasant Point; three children, Augustus Look Jr. and companion Riley Rogers of Machias, Alice Look and companion Ryan Stacy of NY, and Marion Look and companion J Prenier of Pleasant Point; two brothers, David Francis III of ME, and Sugum Francis of Pleasant Point; stepbrother Joseph “Toast” Mitchell; a great-aunt Theresa Downing of Indian Township; many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews; numerous friends including special friend Phil Farrell of Pleasant Point; and her two feline companions, Kush and Franklin.
