Baileyville & Haines City, FL - Phyllis M. (Harriman) Greenlaw, 69, beloved wife, mother, sister, nana, and friend, passed away on Wednesday, March 15th 2017, at Stillwater Healthcare in Bangor.
Phyllis was born to George and Florence Harriman of Baileyville on July 16th, 1947. Phyllis married Eugene E. Greenlaw on November 28, 1964 and remained happily married, raising their three sons until Gene's passing in 2011. Phyllis' first love was her family but she always had a passion for EMT work. She worked as an EMT for 25 years with Baileyville volunteer ambulance and then for Indian Township Fire and Rescue where she was fondly known as "Dilly" until she and Gene retired to Haines City, Florida in 2004.
Phyllis was predeceased by her loving husband Eugene Greenlaw; her parents, George and Florence Harriman; her brother Carleton Harriman; her sister Sharon Hurley; her granddaughter Cassandra Greenlaw; and her niece Debbie Draper. Phyllis is survived by her three sons David Greenlaw and his wife Marlene of Orland, Stephen Greenlaw of Fairfield, and Darrin Greenlaw and his companion Cathy Gamblin of Fairfield; Granddaughters Bethany Redman and her husband Isaac, Megan Greenlaw and her companion Seth Reed, Lauren Greenlaw, and Nicole Greenlaw; Grandsons Tyler and Michael Greenlaw; her sister, Linda Foss and her husband Lee of Harrison; Phyllis also leaves behind many old and new friends in Maine as well as Florida.
A celebration of Phyllis’ life will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, March 19, 2017 at Mays Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais, with Pastor Keith Moody officiating.
