Edmunds Township - Phyllis C (Stanhope) Hayward, 89, died peacefully March 7, 2008, at her home surrounded by family. She was born March 19, 1918, in Pembroke, the daughter of Winfield and Ethel (Anthony) Stanhope. She was predeceased by her loving husband of nearly fifty years, Milton H. Hayward, November 1988, two brothers Milton and Winfield Stanhope. Phyllis is survived by her children Charlene Myers and her husband Earl of Whiting, Eldon “Buster” and his wife Carolyn of Dennysville, and Lorie Johnson and her husband Scott of Edmunds. She is also survived by her grandchildren Larry, Debbie, Loyd, Donna, Carrie, Jenny, and John and many great-grandchildren; sister Pauline Sprague and her husband Merle, and sister-in-law Gladys Stanhope. Per her wishes, there will be a graveside service in the spring at the Dennysville Cemetery. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
