He enjoyed being involved with his community; Danny was a past Cathance Granger and Junior Granger, a Cooper Ballot Clerk for many years, a past member of Sherman Brothers Post 3 and Sons of the American Legion and served as moderator for a few Cooper town meetings. During the latter part of his life Danny lived at the Woodland Manor in Baileyville. Some of his most fond memories were made while living in Washington with the love of his life Janet Flood before her untimely passing. In addition to Janet, Danny was predeceased by his grandparents, his aunt Vi Dineen, many other aunts and uncles and his great niece Abigail Flood.
