Ralph William Hooper

Ralph W. Hooper, 57, of Robbinston passed away peacefully on June 3, 2014, with his family by his side. He was born in Eastport on February 4, 1957, the son of Ralph E. and Joyce A. (Anderson) Hooper.
He was a graduate of Shead Memorial High School and the plumbing and heating program at Washington County Community College in Calais. He spent his working career in the fishing and trucking industry, retiring from the state Department of Transportation because of illness.
Ralph is survived by his mother, Joyce of Eastport; his brother, Ben and wife Kathy of Eastport; his children, Abygail and Joe Cole of Millinocket, Jonathan Chevrier and companion Katlyn of Eastport and Anderson Hooper of Calais; seven grandchildren, Katy and Peter Mahar, Darien Hooper, Makayla Rudge, Landon Hooper, Ashlynn and Kynlee Chevrier; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Ralph; his siblings, Margaret, Peter, Paul and John; and grandparents, Ralph and Blanch Anderson and James and Mabel Hooper.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 8, at Hillside Cemetery in Eastport with Tessa Ftorek officiating.
