Calais – Raymond W. Bayliss, 61, died unexpectedly Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at his home. Raymond was born in Dublin, Ireland on January 26, 1946, son of the late Arthur and Elizabeth (Farrell) Bayliss. He served in the Ireland Army before moving to the United State. Raymond was a self-employed contractor for many years. He married Peggy Dawson on June 9, 1990. He was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed baseball, boating, fishing, camping, and his children. Besides his parents, Raymond was predeceased by a sister, Marianne Parone. Surviving are his loving wife, Peggy Bayliss; seven children, Sarah and Ryan Bayliss of Calais, Sandra Moran and husband Paul of Ireland, Ian Bayliss and wife Pamela, Yvonne and Alan Bayliss, all of Ashland, Mass., and Leona Piggot and husband Matthew of Westford, Mass,; his former wife and friend, Joan Bayliss of Ashland, Mass.; two brothers, Noel and Brian Bayliss, both of Ireland; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Pamela Dawson of Winthrop, Mass., and Sandra Dawson of Boston, Mass.; three brothers-in-law, Daniel Dawson and wife Christine of Calais, Paul Dawson and wife Joy of Stoughton, Mass., and Philip Dawson of Chattanooga, Tenn.; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
