Robbinston – Raymond Clyde McNutt, 71, died peacefully Wednesday, May 17, 2006 at his home with his loving wife and family by his side following a courageous battle with cancer. Clyde was born in Calais, June 9, 1934, son of the late Raymond M. and Anna P. (Mahar) McNutt. He served in the US Army, being Honorably Discharged in 1959. Clyde was a heavy equipment operator, starting with Ralph Dorr Construction, then later with Hold’s Construction, retiring in 1999. He was a member of the former Methodist Church in Robbinston and the Bushwackers ATV Club in Robbinston. Cldye enjoyed gardening, walking, wood cutting, riding ATV’s, snowmobiling, the outdoors, and spending time with his family. He was predeceased by a sister, Helena Joyce Morrison. Surviving are his wife of over 43 years, Ruth (Holmes) McNutt; two step-sons, Kenneth Carson and wife Catherine, and Timothy Carson and wife Elizabeth, all of Robbinston; a sister, Ramona Wynot and husband Atwood of Everett, Mass.; two step-grandchildren, Eric and Nicholas Carson, both of Robbinston; and two special friends, Dick Moholland and Arnold Corning. A graveside service with military honors will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 23 at Brewer Cemetery in Robbinston with Pastor Bob Hinton officiating.
