Richard Philip Flagg Eastport – Richard Philip Flagg, 61, lifelong resident of Eastport died unexpectedly on February 8, 2006. Richard was born in Eastport on December 20, 1944, son of Robinson & Edith Flagg. He attended local schools and graduated from Shead Memorial High School in 1963. Richard operated the family businesses, Flagg's Furniture and Flagg's Funeral Home in Eastport for many years. He was a Rotarian, volunteer firefighter and active in the airport association. He enjoyed history, basketball, photography, computers and had a knack for fixing things. He possessed a passion for flying and recently completed the renovation of his hanger. He was a loving father and grandfather and will be sadly missed by those that knew him. He is survived by his father and children, Richard and his wife Elaine of Scarbrough and Keith of Montreal, PQ; two brothers, Allan and his wife Judith of Eastport and William and his wife Jan of Sedgewick; Kathleen of Waterboro; several neices and nephews and a grandson Noah. Visiting Hours will be from 7-9pm on Friday and from 10am-12pm on Saturday at Flagg's Funeral Home, 72 High St., Eastport. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Blakey Memorial United Methodist Church, High St., Eastport.
