Richard Earl Moholland Jr.

Eastport – Richard “Ricky” Earl Moholland Jr., 56, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, December 17, 2011. Ricky was born in Eastport on Feb. 13, 1955, son of Richard and Beverly (Robinson) Moholland. He graduated from Calais Memorial High School, Class of 1973. Ricky served his country in the U.S. Army and then returned home and attended vocational school, studying heavy equipment maintenance. He held various jobs and for the last 15 years worked for Connors Aquaculture, currently known as Cooke Aquaculture, as a marine service technician. Ricky was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing, but his most memorable moments were those times spent with his family and friends. He was predeceased by his mother, Beverly Moholland; and both his maternal and paternal grandparents. Surviving are his loving wife Martha (Cookson) Moholland; his father Richard Moholland Sr.; two children, Erin Schultz and her husband Trevor of Plymouth, and Ryan Moholland of Colorado Springs, CO; two sisters, Voni Moholland and her husband Ron of Durango, CO, and Kelli Moholland-Toole and her husband Lynwood of Alexander; a grandson, Nicholas Schultz; a granddaughter Cassandra Burse; mother-in-law Ruth Malloch of Eastport; step-children Donna Townsend of Eastport and Joseph Townsend of Moultonboro, NH; nieces and nephews Ricky, Whitney, Lauren and Wesley; many aunts, uncles and cousins; close friends Timmy and Elizabeth “Tizzy” Carson and their son Nicholas, and Kenneth Carson and Bruce Brezovsky; and many other dear friends and co-workers. Ricky will be greatly missed by all who loved him. In keeping with Ricky’s wishes, there will be no services. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
