Rickey Lance Sprague 65 of Baileyville, Maine passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday March 25th 2023 after a long courageous battle with cancer. He passed where he loved to live, at home in the Woodland Junction with his loving dog Zoe by his side.
Rickey was predeceased by his Grandparents Norman and Dorothy Sprague and his Mother Jane Sprague all of Baileyville. He is survived by two Aunts Phyllis Marino and Rose Cochran.
Rickey went to and graduated from Woodland High School in 1976. Rickey worked for the salvage yard for Georgia Pacific, drove his own dump truck, and ended his careers to take care of his Mother Jane whom he loved dearly.
Rickey loved his pets, he had two cats Shadow and Trigger and a very special dog named Zoe who went everywhere with Rickey.
Rickey loved to fish and go boating or canoeing with friends. One of his favorite pastimes was taking a ride on the back roads enjoying the scenery with friends and his dog Zoe. Rickey had many friends and always had a good word to say about everyone.
Rickey was loved by many and will be missed dearly and forever by all who knew and loved him. Special friends Craig Seavey, Rodger Harriman, Tracey Oliva and Jerry Brown will remember and reminisce all of the good times they had together.
Special thanks to Cancer Care of Maine, Downeast & Calais Community Hospitals and provider practices for helping Rickey through all of his cancer treatments and providing love and support to both him and his dog Zoe.
A graveside service will be announced at a later date. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
