Robert A. Haskins

Calais - Robert (Bob) A. Haskins, 75, died July 3, 2008 at his residence in Calais. He was born in Calais, August 23, 1932 the son of Edward and Mary (Lawrence) Haskins. Bob was a member of the Sherman Bros. Post #3 American Legion of Calais and the U.S.S. Baltimore C.A. #68 Assoc. He was an avid hunter and loved his family dearly. He also served as the CEO of the morning Coffee Club. He was predeceased by his wife Charlotte (Worrell) Haskins in 1999. Survivors include his children Mike and his wife Judy of Germany; Shari Doten and her husband Donald of Baring; John and his wife Katharine of Calais and Laurie Mahar and her husband Kevin of Garland; special companion Pearl Tomah of Calais; a sister Marjorie Hill and her husband Ralph of Bangor; sisters in law Gloria Haskins and Freda Ross and her husband Jake all from NB. Canada. Known as Dar, he will be greatly missed by grandchildren, Heather, Jason, Jeramie, Adam, Bob, Dustin, Katie, Leslie, and Jamie; great grandchildren, Clara Charlotte, Cain, Keagan, Morgan Rose, Hailey, Kaliegh, Brady and Lauren; many nieces and nephews, special friends Lewis and Karen Scribner and family, and many friends. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday July 10, 2008 at Calais Cemetery will Pastor Robert Hinton officiating. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais and Eastport.
