Perry – Royce Kendrick Apt, 55, went home to be with the LORD, losing his brave five-year battle with A.L.S., on July 18, 2018 surrounded by family and friends. He was born in Boston, Mass. on December 13, 1962. He graduated from Quincy High in 1981. He loved visiting Downeast Maine and decided to move to Pleasant Point in 1988. He had worked for Raytheon for 5 years. When he settled in Maine he worked as a carpenter for the Passamaquoddy Tribe. He worked for the Wickachee restaurant in Calais where he met his wife, Elaine. When first married they lived in Bangor for 5 years and he worked at the Ramada Inn and J.C. Penny. He also worked other various jobs in Bangor. He was a hard worker his entire adult life. He started working for what is now known as Connors Aquaculture in Eastport as a Dock Manager for more than 20 years. He was well loved and respected by everyone he ever met. He loved to go to yard sales on Saturday’s. He also enjoyed having yard sales at his home, always giving family members the “family rate”. He enjoyed cookouts where the family gathered on Indian Day weekends. His passion was music from the 70’s and his football team the Patriots. He was known to many as the “Wordman”; loving music, writing dozens of songs and poems, and playing the drums.
