Ruth Madeline Calder

Eastport & Calais – Ruth Madeline Calder, 95, died Monday, November 27, 2006 at Ross Manor in Bangor. Ruth was born in St. John, N.B. on December 29, 1910, daughter of the late George and A. Josephine (Wetmore) Leonard. Ruth was an active member of her church for many years. She was predeceased by her husband, Ronald Calder; a son, Thomas Calder; four brothers, Ralph, Roland, Lloyd and Norton Leonard; and two sisters, Jean Boles and Mabel Toal. Surviving are her daughter-in-law, C. Patricia Calder of Errol, NH; a brother, Carl Leonard; three sisters, Eola Bull, Dora Jellison, and Emma Bradley; three grandchildren, Amelia Calder, Alonzo Calder, and Frances Sterling; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A spring graveside service will be held at Calais Cemetery.
