Pembroke – Sandra B. Moore, 64, passed away peacefully in Calais on Saturday, July 17, 2010 with her loving husband and son at her bedside. Sandra was born on July 13, 1946 in Lewiston to Norman and Pauline (Atspins) Babbitt. Sandra was a graduate of Edward Little High School of Auburn, class of 1964 and then went on to receive her beautician license. She married H. Robert Moore on July 12, 1966 in Eastport and they resided together in Pembroke. She worked at the Guilford Textile Mill for many years until its closing in 1997 at which time she held other various jobs. Sandra loved to create an assortment of crafts for her family and friends. She was kind hearted and always concerned for the well being of her family, she was very fond of animals and had a great love for children. In addition to her parents, Sandra was predeceased by her brother, Norman Babbitt Jr. in 1994. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, H. Robert Moore; a son, Brian Moore and his wife Debra of Pembroke; a brother, Walter Babbitt and his wife Mary of Hebron; 2 granddaughters, Leslie Bassett and her fiancé Pat Burke of Robbinston and Ashley Moore of Pembroke; a special aunt, Lillian Gordon of Pennsylvania; two uncles, Albert and Alphonse; a father-in-law H. Elliott Moore, of Robbinston and a special friend Marie Avery of Eastport. With respect to Sandra’s wishes there will be no funeral service. A private committal service will be held at a later date.
