Sasha Beane
November 10, 2005 – May 1, 2022
Sasha Beane died unexpectedly on May 1, 2022. Her loss leaves a tremendous hole in many lives.
She was born in Portland, Maine in 2005. In 2015, she moved with her family to Talmadge. She started a Minecraft club at Princeton Elementary School and played softball, baseball, and participated in Lego robotics and drama projects. She most recently attended the Maine School of Science and Mathematics in Limestone.
She loved playing games with friends, especially online gaming, Dungeons and Dragons, and board games. She loved camping and long walks in the woods. She had a talent for drawing and writing. She loved music and had eclectic tastes - a long car ride with her controlling the playlist was always a delight. She loved shows like Amphibia and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. She was kind, witty, and funny, and loved to laugh and make others laugh.
She is survived by her parents, Zachary and Shanna Beane, and her brother, Isaac Beane, of Talmadge. She is survived by her grandparents Paul Beane of Talmadge and Janet Beane of Greensboro, NC, and Peter and Jacqueline Kjenstad of Charleston, Maine. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Shortly before her death she came out to her close family and friends as transgender. All children deserve acceptance and love for who they are. Sasha was accepted fully, and loved fully for who she was.
A Celebration of Sasha's Life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, May 21, 2022 at the Princeton Elementary School. Donations may be given in her memory at thetrevorproject.org
