Baileyville – Scott Kendall Wormell, 50, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, January 29, 2011 at his home. Scott was born in Calais on December 9, 1960, son of the late Perley and Anne (Ivanisin) Wormell. He graduated from Woodland High School Class of 1981. Scott continued his education and received his journeyman plumbing license before being hired at Georgia Pacific. Initially he worked in the stud mill and then for the paper mill where he worked for 25 years in general services. Scott was a member of the Spednic Club and enjoyed bowling, playing softball, spending time at Pleasant Lake, but his most precious times were those spent with his children. In addition to his parents, Scott was predeceased by a brother Chris Wormell. Surviving are his two children, Keagan and Jaiden Wormell; two step-children, Kyelee and Tyler Hurlburt and their mother Tina Wormell; his sister Susan MacArthur and her companion Kevin Gilley of Alexander; two brothers, Paul Wormell and his wife Terri of Baileyville, and Peter Wormell and his wife Patti of Manchester; his nieces and nephews, Kacie MacArthur of Lancaster, PA, Sean MacArthur of Old Town, Josh Thornton of Calais, Tiffany Wormell of Lancaster, PA, Todd Wormell of Baileyville, Zachary Wormell of Augusta, Abby Wormell of Augusta, Micah Wormell of Manchester, and McKenzie Wormell of Manchester; a special uncle Bryan Wormell of CA; an aunt Evelyn Ivanisin of MA; and many cousins. Visiting hours will be held 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, February 1, at Mays Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais, where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in the spring at Woodland Cemetery.
