Perry – Shirl Herman Trott Sr., 74, died Saturday, October 28, 2006 at his home. Shirl was born in Perry, October 21, 1932, son of the late Harry and Ada (McPhail) Trott. He owned and operated Pigeon Hill Farm in Perry and enjoyed farming, raising cattle, and spending time with his wife, children and family. He married Marilyn Craig on October 20, 1951 in Eastport. Shirl was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the U.S. Army. He was predeceased by a brother, Frank Trott, and four sisters, Hester and Mildred Trott, Eva Lincoln, and Mira Small. Surviving are his loving wife of over 55 years, Marilyn Trott; five children, Shirl Trott Jr. and wife Joy of Perry, Judson Trott and fiancé Carol Sutton of Pembroke, Lois Chambers and husband Jerry of Perry, Ruby Trott and husband Jeff Moore of Marion, and Elizabeth Dupee and husband Dana of Perry; two sisters, Ruth Gove of Perry and Edna Avery of Ellsworth; fifteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
