Shirley Marie Brown

Pembroke – Shirley M. Brown, 77, died Wednesday, December 05, 2007, at her daughter’s home in Seabrook, NH. Shirley was born in Lubec, August 5, 1930, daughter of the late Clinton and Maretta (Hood) Ashby. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pembroke. Shirley loved life and lived it to its fullest. She enjoyed taking care of her yard and flower garden, cooking, and spending time with her family. Besides her parents, Shirley was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Clayton Brown; their twin daughters, Ruby and Mary Brown; two sisters, Arlene and Fay Ashby; and two brothers, Floyd and Dallas Ashby. Surviving are five children, Jenner Brown and his wife Lori of Carmel, Sharon Melanson of Seabrook, NH, Ronald Brown of Berwick, Raymond Brown and his wife Joann of Bangor, and Brent Brown and his wife Dee of Fitchburg, MA; three sisters, Margaret Richardson of Jay, Christine Greenlaw of East Machias, and June Gross of Dennysville; a brother, Clinton “Junior” Ashby of Charlotte; 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
