Obituary for Steven Norman Bishop

He grew up in East Millinocket and moved to Canada where he attended Simonds High School in Saint John, New Brunswick. He later moved with his family to Baileyville, Maine where he worked for 25 years at the paper mill. Steven was a loving man who would give you the shirt off his back, literally. He was an excellent drummer who loved music, enjoyed the company of friends and lived life for his family. Steven had a great love for animals; he cared for his pets like they were his children. Steven was predeceased by his father, Charles N. Bishop. He is survived by his mother, Jean L. Bishop of Baileyville; his soul mate and life companion, Brenda Edgerly, and her children Crystal, Denise, and Richard and a very special grandson, Daniel, all of Baileyville; 3 sisters, Pam Bishop of Harvey Station N.B., Pattie (McCarthy) Morrisay and her husband, Daniel of Hampton, N.B., and Kerry Perry and her husband Barney of Baileyville; a brother, Scott Bishop of Portsmouth, N.H. and several nieces, nephew, aunts, uncles and cousins. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 29th at Mays Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais with father James Plourde officiating. The family would like to welcome friends to gather following the service at Kerry Perry’s home, 120 Washington St. Baileyville. Interment will be at Woodland Cemetery in the spring.
