Henderson, TX – Susan Christina Mancilla, 56, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 in Texas. Susan was born at Peter Dana Point on September 5, 1961, daughter of Benjamin Neptune Jr and Estelle (Lola) Neptune.
Susan attended Lee Academy and went on to earn her cosmetology license. She worked as a hairdresser while raising her two sons, Charles and Nakoma. In 1990, Susan met Gustavo Mancilla and they were united in marriage on September 6, 1997. Due to Gus’ job, they were fortunate to travel extensively throughout the United States.
Susan was predeceased by her father Benjamin; and a nephew Javier Morin. Surviving are her husband Gustavo Mancilla of Henderson, TX; her mother Estelle Neptune of Indian Township; her two sons, Charles Neptune and his wife Liane of Cape Cod, MA, and Nakoma Polches of Indian Township; three grandchildren, Jennah, Brooke and Shaniah Neptune; two sisters, Beverly Champagne and her husband Tom of Perry, and Christina Morin and her husband Margarito of Sealy, TX; four brothers, Joseph Neptune of Indian Township, Horace Neptune of Indian Township, Ernest Neptune and his wife Melissa of Eddington, and Benjamin Neptune III of Indian Township; three aunts, Clara Polches of Fredericton, NB, Marion Francis of Pleasant Point, and Theresa Downing of Indian Township; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and her faithful canine companion, Queenie.
Visiting hours will begin 2:00 pm, Monday, September 10th at her brother’s home, 16 Bear Ridge Rd., Indian Township, until 10 am, Wednesday, Sept 12th. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Kevin Martin 11:00 am, Wednesday, September 12th at St. Anne’s RC Church, Peter Dana Point. Burial will follow in the Indian Township Tribal Cemetery. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
