Obituary for Ted MacArthur

Fort Fairfield & South Princeton – Ted W. MacArthur, 29, passed away unexpectedly, May 18, 2019 as the result of an automobile accident. Ted was born in Calais on July 26, 1989, son of Keith and Rene (Moore) MacArthur. Ted attended Princeton Elementary School and then Woodland High where he enjoyed playing baseball, basketball, running track and wrestling before graduating with the class of 2007. He then enrolled at Washington County Community College where he completed the welding technologies program.

Ted was always outside, whether it be playing horseshoes, riding the four-wheeler, sitting by a campfire or hanging out at Camp, which was his favorite place on Earth, he loved life and lived in the moment. Ted was talented to no end. He loved working with his hands, he was clever and could fix anything automotive, he could draw, play cards and loved to catch fish. He could catch anything, especially when he made his “fish face”. Ted especially loved his family.

Ted was predeceased by his “Nana” Gretchen Moore along with many great aunts and uncles and several cousins.

Surviving are his parents, Keith and Rene; his brother, Keith Jr., his canine sister Zoey; newborn daughter, Gretchen, who was his world; his fiancée Leslie, who he loved so much; Dhanilyn, who he loved as a daughter; his maternal grandfather, Donald Moore; paternal grandparents, Creston “Ted” and Kathy MacArthur, paternal great grandmother, Laura Townsend; aunts Tammy Donahue and her companion Julian and Rebecca Carter and her husband Micki; uncles, Randy Moore, Donald Moore Jr. and his wife Michelle, Ricky Moore and his wife Susan, Danny Moore and his wife Dorothy and Dean Moore; several great aunts and uncles and too many cousins to list with the exception of two special cousins, Teagan and Justin.

Our hearts are broken, we love you so much. We will help care for your daughter and let her know how much her daddy loves her.
