Theresa Jeanette Moore

Pleasant Point – Theresa J. Moore, 80, died Thursday, May 29, 2008 at the Eastport Memorial Nursing Home. Theresa was born in Pleasant Point on April 18, 1928, daughter of the late Justin Francis and Susie Moore. She enjoyed attending all of the Native American ceremonies. Besides her parents, Theresa was predeceased by a sister, Alice (Quinn) Francis; and her long time companion, Charles Manual Homan. Surviving are her sister, Charlotte Glover of Indian Township; her God Child and niece, Justina Niles; many nieces and nephews; a special friend, Leon Socabeson; and many other special friends, including her extended family at the Eastport Memorial Nursing Home, where she received excellent loving care. Friends may call starting 3 p.m. Saturday at the home of Deanna Francis, Nation Ground Lane, Pleasant Point, until 2 p.m. Monday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 3 p.m. Monday at St. Ann R.C. Church, Pleasant Point. Burial will follow in the Tribal Cemetery. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
