Pleasant Point – Thomas J. Tinker, 60, died unexpectedly on Thursday, December 4, 2008 at Eastern Maine Medical Center. Thomas was born in Eastport on November 4, 1948, son of the late Henry and Mary (Francis) Tinker. He worked for several years as a machinist in Connecticut, making tool dyes for Stanley Tools. Surviving are his loving wife of 22 years, Patricia (Aylward) Tinker; two sons, Thomas W. Tinker of Pleasant Point, and Jeremy Tinker of Providence, Rhode Island; his sister, Lila Hamilton and her husband Mike of Fort Myers, Florida; six brothers, Harry Tinker and his wife Linda of Rochester, New Hampshire, Christopher Tinker and his wife Vivian of Perry, Norman Tinker of Monmouth, David Tinker and his wife Karen of Perry, Alexander Tinker of Pleasant Point, and John Tinker of Pleasant Point; his special granddaughter, Alexis Tinker; five grandsons; his “brother”, Dewey Grant and his wife Arlene of Etna; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be held at his sisters home at 28 Back Rd., Pleasant Point, starting Sunday, 12 noon, until 10 a.m. Tuesday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Frank Morin Celebrant 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Ann R.C. Church, Pleasant Point. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
