Toni M. Hamilton

Toni Marie Hamilton, 38, passed away surrounded by family on Monday, May 20, 2024, at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor following a lengthy illness.  Toni was born in Fallon, Nevada, on October 28, 1985, daughter of Frank and Renee (Cochran) Hamilton.  

During high school, Toni was active being a member of drama, chorus, band, FFA (Future Farmers of America), and playing softball.  She had a natural talent with music and played the French horn and the piano.  After graduating from East Carteret High School in Beaufort, NC, Class of 2004, Toni attended Eastern Carolina University where she studied microbiology and served an internship with Duke University.  In 2006, she moved to Princeton, Maine, and attended Washington County Community College from which she earned degrees in Business, International Business, and Entrepreneurship.  

Toni had a strong work ethic and worked for International Buy & Sell Currency Exchange, Crystal Clear Accounting, and Freshies in Princeton.   One of Toni’s passions was traveling.   She was able to tour Europe, the Middle East, and throughout the United States.  As her illness progressed, she found enjoyment in music, movies, and crocheting.  Above all, spending time with her family, especially her son Dimitri, and friends brought her much joy.  

Surviving are her son Dimitri Riley of Princeton; parents Frank “Bill” and Renee Hamilton of Princeton; maternal grandmother Joey Cochran of Princeton and Texas; aunts and uncle, Bea Hamilton of Newport, NC, and Jeff and Nancy Cochran of Saco; many cousins and friends; and her feline companion Zelotes.
