Baring – Trudy Dawn Poole, 63, passed away peacefully Thursday, December 5, 2019. Trudy was born in St. Stephen, NB on August 8, 1956, daughter of Merle and Anita (Lowe) Lydic.
Shortly after graduating from Woodland High School, Class of 1975, Trudy married the love of her life, her high school sweetheart, Paul “Sparky” Poole. She worked various local jobs including being the Assistant Manager of Calais Car Wash, while raising her two daughters. Trudy enjoyed reading, playing card games, was an avid Red Sox fan, and loved spending time with her family and friends.
Trudy was predeceased by her beloved husband Sparky; her father Merle Lydic; and her sister Andrea Rodgers. Surviving are her mother Anita Lydic; her two daughters, Amy Poole and fiancé Troy Beek of Eastport, and Stacey Wescott and husband Joshua of Baileyville; her granddaughter, Jada Harding of Eastport; an aunt, Elizabeth Coltart of Florida; nephew Nicholas Leighton of Baileyville; two great-nieces, Isabella and Khloe Leighton; and many cousins.
A Celebration of Trudy’s Life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, December 14, 2019 at People’s United Methodist Church in Baileyville, 20 Third Ave., Baileyville. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
