Victor Joseph Voisine, aged 80, of Eastport, Maine, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2024. Born in Van Buren, Maine on November 25, 1943, to Aurele and Marie Voisine, Victor was a dedicated family man, a respected veteran, and a skilled mechanic.
Victor's life journey began in Van Buren, Maine. He moved to Massachusetts to work at his uncle’s transmission shop, where he met Rhonda Lynn Daniels. They wed on a Saturday in Salem, Massachusetts on November 26, 1966, and were happily married for 58 years. Victor was drafted by the Army for the Vietnam war, serving two tours with courage and distinction. After the war, they moved to Abbott, Maine, where Victor worked for the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife. His career path led him to the State Park System in Nevada, where he spent 20 years before retiring to Eastport, Maine.
Victor was a proud member of the VFW and a founding member of the United Veterans Honor Guard of Washington County, demonstrating his continued commitment to his fellow veterans. He spent a lot of time volunteering and helping other veterans. In his leisure time, Victor found joy in woodworking and mechanics, as well as a deep love for animals. He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Voisine, his sons, Victor Voisine of Pahrump, Nevada, Eric Voisine and wife Brenda of Eastport, Maine, his grandchildren, Seth, Dallas, Keisha, Karina, and his great-grandson, Stephen. He was preceded in death by his parents, Aurele and Marie Voisine.
In keeping with Vic’s wishes, there will be no services. Arrangements for Victor are being handled by Mays Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
