Princeton – Vivianne B. Roussel, 81, passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2014. Vivianne was born in Edmundston, New Brunsick, on May 17, 1933, daughter of the late Albert and Ida (Martin) Roussel. She married Levite Roussel and in 1964 they relocated to Princeton to be closer to Levite’s work. Vivianne was a Communicant of St. James the Greater R.C. Church in Baileyville. She was a wonderful cook and a talented seamstress. She enjoyed canning, knitting, flower gardens, and teaching her children and grandchildren how to cook and bake.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Levite; a son Marcel; and two brothers, Claude and Evares. Surviving are her five children, Renald Roussel and wife Rosemary, Réal Roussel and wife Diane, Rachel Cilley and husband Blin, Darcy Roussel and wife Cindy, and Nancy Francis, all of Princeton; a daughter-in-law Tammy McEwen of Greenbush; 16 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Albertna, Liz, Rejenne, Rina, Laurianne, Jeslien, Jeanot, Reno, and Evon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, September 28, 2014 at Mays Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday, September 29, 2014 at St. James the Greater R.C. Church in Baileyville. Burial will follow in Princeton Cemetery.
