Walter Coleman James

Baileyville – Walter “Pete” Coleman James, 76, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2016. Pete was born in Calais on October 17, 1939. He attended school in Charlotte and at a young age went to work on the family farm. Pete eventually started his career as a truck driver for Thomas DiCenzo, retiring with over 40 years of service. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed trout fishing, chopping wood, and simply being outside.

Surviving are his son Brian James and wife Rosalind of Stem, NC; and a grandson Ryan Merchant of Calgary, AB.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Crawford Cemetery. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
