Wayne David St. Pierre

Baileyville – Wayne David St. Pierre, 57, passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at his home with his family by his side following a courageous battle with cancer. Wayne was born in Eastport on December 29, 1954, son of Edward and Shirley (Sullivan) St. Pierre. He graduated from Machias Memorial High School and received his college degree from the University of Maine at Machias. In his younger years, Wayne was employed as a lineman for Bangor Hydro. Over the last 20 years, Wayne worked for I.E.S. (Industrial Electric Supply) in Baileyville, where he became part owner. He was a passionate volunteer youth coach for basketball and baseball in the Woodland area. Wayne was an avid golfer and a member of St. Croix Country Club. He will be remembered for his devotion to his loving wife and children, the memories created with family and friends, and the many lives he touched through his mentoring and coaching. Wayne was predeceased by his father Edward St. Pierre. Surviving are his mother Shirley St. Pierre of Machias; his wife of 28 years Diana (Bahre) St. Pierre; two children, Nicole St. Pierre of Columbus, OH, and Aaron St. Pierre of Baileyville; two brothers, Edward St. Pierre and his wife Janet of Machias, and Ted and Yun Ouk St. Pierre of Machias; a special aunt Mildred Sullivan of Machias; many nieces and nephews; and numerous friends who supported Wayne and his family. A celebration of Wayne’s life will be held 1 p.m. Friday, August 24, 2012 at St. Croix Country Club in Calais with Pastor Keith Moody officiating.
