William Laing Garymore

Baileyville - William “Bill” Garrymore, 71, died May 14, 2011, at his home in Baileyville. He was born in Plainfield, NJ on June 4, 1939, son to John and Frances (Laing) Garrymore. Bill was an avid outdoorsman that enjoyed fishing, hunting and trapping. He particularly enjoyed early mornings and found beauty in nature in every form. He was a gentle giant, an extraordinarily patriotic American and former United States Marine that touched many and will be missed by all those who knew and loved him. Bill was predeceased by his father John. Surviving are his Mother, Frances Garrymore of Crystal River, FL; his brother Jack Garrymore of Stevensville, MT, his companion Diane Roderick of Baileyville, two sons William Garrymore Jr. and his wife Anne of Princeton, NJ, and Robert Garrymore and his wife Teresa of Cincinnati, OH; his grandsons Nelson, Will, Jack, Kurt and Tom; Diane’s children, Candy Roderick and her companion, Jamie Crowe and their daughters Brooke and Taylor Price, Craig Roderick Jr. and his companion Trina Nielsen and their daughter Cameron, all of Baileyville; many close friends and his faithful feline companion, Smokey. An intimate memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on June 11th at Mays Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais, to honor his memory.
