William A. Reynolds

Meddybemps – William A. Reynolds, 92, passed away Monday, December 29, 2014 at Calais Regional Hospital. William was born in Calais on July 19, 1922, son of the late Wallace and Eva (Woods) Reynolds. He worked many years for Bridge’s Garage and served in the US Army during WWII. While in the Army, William served with Battery A, 486 CA Battalion and earned the Bronze Star Medal.

In addition to his parents, William was predeceased by his wife Margaret (Boardman) Reynolds; and two sisters, Jean Gower and Winifred Archer. Surviving are a sister, Harriett Baltzer of Hampton, NH; many nieces and nephews; and special friends Ike and Dawn Winchester, and Sally Ketchen.

Visiting hours will be held 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday, January 1, 2015 at Mays Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais. A celebration of William’s life will be held 11 a.m. Friday, January 2, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Meddybemps Cemetery.
