Yoel Cruz-Gonzalez

Yoel Cruz-González, 47, passed away Saturday, May 13, 2023 in Calais.  Yoel was born in Havana, Cuba, on August 18, 1975, son of Ricardo Cruz and Maria De Los Angeles Gonzalez. 

Yoel graduated from Hialeah High School.  He had a passion for dance and art, working as a dance choreographer for many years and was a member of Los Guaracheros de Hialeah.  Yoel also worked in real estate.  He touched many lives throughout his life and will be remembered by many for his gentle and loving soul. 

In addition to his father Ricardo Cruz-Melendez, Yoel was predeceased by his grandparents and two uncles.  Surviving are his mother Maria González; two sisters, Jacqueline Echevarria and Marie T. González; two nieces, Kayla Marie Pagan-Gibson and Katelyn Marie Perez; a nephew Isaac Jiovanni Ortiz, all of Tampa, FL; and numerous dear friends whom he loved dearly.
